RUTLAND REFERENCES IN ACTS & RESOLVES STATE OF VT The Acts and Resolves Passed by the General Assembly of the State of Vermont contain information on corporations and organizations formed by a special act of the legislature.  Those that relate to Rutland or Rutland County were extracted and compiled into this document. Also included are a few items of general interest, such as slavery and slave trade, Indian tribes, environmental acts, paintings in the State House, maple syrup, social issues, Liberia, land given to New York, and Gettysburg monuments.  Yellow highlighting starting on page two indicates an entry in the document.  This is a great place to research early business.  It is searchable and covers 1849-1915 with a few missing years.
