William Sammon

William Sammon died of heart disease at his home at No. 273 West Street about 6 o'clock last evening after a sickness of nearly 3 months.  Mr. Sammon was born in County Tipperary Ireland about 68 years ago. 

He came to this country about 40 years ago and had lived in this city ever sine.  He was a member of Roberts Post GAR, having served 9 months with Company A of the 13th Regiment.

Mr. Sammon is survived by a wife, two daughters, Mrs. Eugene Eldridge of Middlebury, and Miss Johanna Sammon of this city. He also leaves a son William Sammon of this city, and a sister Mrs. John Maroney of West Rutland.  The funeral will be held at St. Peter's Church tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock.  The burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
