Death of Thomas Shanley Daley

Daley Dies at Hospital. Boy Crushed in RR Yard, Succumbs to Injuries. Thomas Shanley Daley of No. 127 State Street, died yesterday morning about 4:15 o'clock at the Rutland Hospital from injuries received in the yard Wednesday evening.  He was rushed to the hospital after his injuries were received and as much done as possible to relieve his immediate suffering, but it was just not possible, for some time, to learn the extent of his wounds.  He had a broken collar bone, broken ribs, and internal injuries. Mr. Daley was an orphan and formerly went by the name of Shanley, having a brother in Pittsford known as Shanley Raleigh, and a sister Miss Nellie Mecier of Poultney .  He was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. James Daley of this city, and had lived with them about 12 years.  He was 17 years old at the time of his death and had been employed for about a year by the Rutland Railroad. Mr. Daley is survived by his own brother and sister, and his mother by adoption, Mrs. James Daley, three brothers, Henry F. John W. Daley of  this city and James W. Daley of Saratoga NY and two sisters Misses Etta M. and Agnes C. Daley of Rutland.

The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning in St. Peter's Church.
